Announcing the Parenting with ACEs Monthly Chat Series!

 

I'm thrilled to announce our NEW Live Chat series!!!

Starting in May, once a month, we will have a live Chat Event. It will take online in the Parenting with ACEs Group the second Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST).

We'll learn from our featured guests (below) about ACE-related issues. We'll have discussions and share experiences, stories, and resources with each other. Here is who and what we have scheduled for 2017.

How to Attend & Participate

 1.      Join the Parenting with ACEs Group if you aren't already a member.  

Go to “Groups,” on the Home Page (or menu) and find “Parenting with ACE.,”    Click “Join” and you’re in.  You can do this step any time before the Chat Event.

2.      Go to the Parenting with ACEs Group home page on the day of Chat Event.

The upcoming chat will show up as the “Featured Chat” at the top of the page.  It will look like this:

Time: Chats always go live at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST).

3.      Ask questions, share stories or resources before or during Chat Events.

We hope you'll share questions, insights, ideas and comments.

  • You can post a question in advance if you would like.  Scroll to the bottom of featured chat and post a question in this space. Once you hit the green "Post" button, your question will appear.

  • You can post a question or comment during a Chat Event. Scroll to the the bottom of featured chat and post a question in the space (see above). Once you hit the green "Post" button, your question will appear.  Please don’t panic when you can’t find your question/comment immediately. There’s a lag time that grows during large group discussions.    

Can’t Make the Live Chat? 

No problem. You can review the chat transcript after the Chat Event. Chats are saved. Here's an example of a past chat event done by  the ACEs in Education Group

You.

If you are a person with ACEs, a parent, a professional or all of the above. If you are interested, you should attend. 

Can I Share This Info. & Invite Others to Attend?

Yes. Please. The flyer for the series is attached below. This post can be shared. Invite others to join the chat series and the Parenting with ACEs Group. All are welcome!

Can I Find a Sample Chat Online to See How they Work Ahead of Time?
Yes. This chat was done by the ACEs in Education Group and will give you an idea of the format.
